Keeping us all safe and healthy is in this time of COVID-19 is critically important: I am conducting all sessions virtually, either by video or by phone. As conditions improve I will revise this policy as soon as the PHO alerts us that it is safe to gather in person again.
I've been providing therapy in private practice since 2005 and am a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) with the BC College of Social Workers, Registration # 09511.

Specialized Training and Experience
The focus of my practice is in two areas:
Relationships
Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples is the single most effective method of helping couples to repair and enhance the deep, loving connection they long for. There is no other form of relationship therapy that is as reliable in supporting couples to find their way back to each other, or to reinforce security, love, intimacy and play.
Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR)
I am a certified EMDR practitioner with specialized training in Attachment-Focused EMDR through the Parnell Institute, treating trauma, anxiety and substance and behavioural addictions. AF-EMDR is evidence-based neuroscience-informed talk therapy that helps those living with trauma, anxiety or addiction to experience deep emotional relief, a lifting of distressing symptoms and develop new, more resilient and empowering ways to cope with life's stressors.
Session Fees and Payment Information
Individuals
Starts at

A standard 50 minute session is $150. The initial intake session is 90 minutes and is $225.
Couples
Starts at
$
195
A standard 75 minute session is $195. The initial intake session is 90 minutes and is $225.
Sliding-scale
I have a limited availability for sliding scale fees for those without insurance, based on income. Please call to discuss.
Payment is due at the time of service. I will issue you a paid invoice that you may submit to' your extended insurance plan for reimbursement in accordance with your plan's terms. I accept most credit cards as well as etransfer.
NOTE: There is no GST or PST charged for services provided by a RCSW
Insurance Reimbursement
Most Extended Care insurance plans will reimburse all or a portion of the session fees for Registered Clinical Social Workers (RCSW). But every plan is different. Please check with your insurance provider before booking your first appointment to confirm the mental health services and provider credentials that are covered by your specific plan.
All unreimbursed session fees for services provided by a RCSW are considered qualified medical expenses for tax purposes. Please seek the advice of your tax preparer for additional information.
